Bark Bones

Bark Bones

Happy #nationaldogday! Once I found out what today was I just HAD to make a batch of doggie treats for Zack.. And yes I will post a pic of him later (have too!) in the meanwhile I just had to get this up and he's napping.. (Ruff life ) ANYWAY! Here's a little recipe I whipped up for our canine friends that's nutritional and Zack approved! -Bark Bones-

1 ripe Banana

3 T vanilla yogurt

1 egg

1/2 c natural peanut butter

1 c cooked mashed sweet potato

1/2 c milk ( I used 2%) 2.5 c whole wheat flour

1 T baking powder

3/4 c quick cooking oats

Preheat oven to 350. I used parchment paper on an insulated cookie sheet.

Mix wet ingredients well. Mix dry ingredients separately. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet. Dump out onto a lightly floured surface and roll to a 3/4" thickness. Cut into shapes. Bake 20 min. Store in fridge if keeping longer than 3 days. No preservatives = not a long shelf life.
