Manchurian Spicy Beef

Hi guys! I've been perusing old Instagram posts and re-discovered this recipe shared by @eatdrinkfoodme who has a food youtube called EatDrinkFoodMe & Fun so be sure to check it out if you're looking for something new to make! I wanted to share his recipe here for everyone to enjoy and will post the link to his YouTube below.


Hot Confetti pepper jelly was used in this modified version of his original recipe as follows. The recipe is quite loose, as in certain measurements are not provided. If you are not comfortable with general instructions, definitely watch the youtube video for a bit more info and guidance.


Manchurian Spicy Beef Noodles


To make beef:

Thinly sliced tritip*, seasoned on both sides with salt and pepper.

Toss sliced tritip in a whisked egg white.

Dredge beef in cornstarch.

Fry beef in oil of your choice until till crispy, being sure to turn intermittently.


* Tritip is a cut of beef from the sirloin area. It's texture is more like a thin roast than steak. Feel free to substitute other meats or firm vegetables for the tritip.

To make sauce:

4 cloves of garlic

1 tablespoon of olive oil

Crush the garlic and fry lightly in oil.

Add 2 heaping spoons** each, Jennifer's Kitchen Pepper Jelly and hoisin sauce.

Let melt with garlic.


Mix sauce with fried beef. Pour over your favorite noodles. Yum!


** Spoons is super subjective. As this is a sauced recipe - I suggest 2 Tablespoons of each; the pepper jelly and hoisin sauce. An easy adjustment is to simply add equal parts of each to increase the amount of sauce.
